When it’s hot outside and the kids won’t stop screaming about how bored
they are, then it’s time to head out to your favorite water fountain and let
the kids run wild. Karrie, our Northeast
OC Editor, is often seen taking her kids to the Home Depot/Babies R’ Us
shopping center on Imperial Highway in Brea for some fun in the sun.
Her kids love to play in the shallow fountain, eat lunch at one of the
local restaurants (like Subway, Bruegger’s Bagels, Juice it Up, or McDonalds),
all while she gets to sit and somewhat relax at one of their tables (that are
often shaded with an umbrella). There is
a large grass area of to the side, so you can also opt to throw down a blanket
and feed your kids a picnic that you packed up from home (great way to save
some money). Another benefit about the
location is since it’s centrally located in a shopping center, there are many
bathrooms to choose from when your kids run up screaming that they have to go
and can’t hold it.
Another hidden gem in Orange County that offers free family entertainment
that your kids actually enjoy!
